Sarah Abbott MW Master of Wine, is a wine marketing and communication expert with over 20 years of experience. Founder of Swirl Wine Group, she helps regions and producers craft compelling narratives. A leading advocate for Old Vines, she co-founded The Old Vine Conference to promote their cultural and environmental significance.
Martim Guedes The fifth and current generation leading Aveleda has taken their family legacy a step further. With complementary backgrounds—Martim in management and marketing, and António in viticulture—they have driven innovation. This generation has propelled Aveleda forward with new products like Casal Garcia Sangria, the acquisition of estates in the Douro and Algarve, and expanded wine tourism experiences in Vinho Verde, soon extending to the Algarve and Douro.
Michael Goess Enzenberg Since 1991, he has led the renewal of his family’s vineyards, preparing for the launch of Manincor wines. The first bottling came in 1996, with the 1997 Cassiano earning Gambero Rosso’s top recognition. Committed to expressing the region’s true character, he inaugurated a low-impact, vineyard-integrated winery in 2004. By 2009, Manincor’s 50 hectares were fully organic and biodynamic, producing 300,000 certified bottles annually.
Adrian Bridge Adrian Bridge entered the Port industry in 1994 after a distinguished military and investment banking career. As Managing Director of The Fladgate Partnership, he led key acquisitions, expanding Taylor’s, Fonseca, Croft, and Delaforce. He pioneered innovations like Croft Pink and spearheaded The Yeatman Hotel project, earning Porto’s highest civic honor. Under his leadership, the company became a global leader in premium Port production.
