Ted and Heidi Lemon founded Littorai wines in 1993. Ted has worked in Burgundy, Oregon and New Zealand. In the late 1990s, the Lemons became convinced that western agronomic theory is unsustainable and inadequate in its conception of plant health and nutrition. The vineyards which Littorai Wines owns, and leases are farmed using biodynamic methods and Littorai has brought biodynamic farming to many of its growers. Heidi and Ted live on a thirty-acre diversified wine farm with too many sheep, cows, pigs and chickens.
