Small actions at every step rather than loud barking where it is most audible: We are committed to the economic, social and environmental sustainability of our winemaking activities. This starts with the way the grapes are grown, includes how water, energy and waste are managed in the winery, and ends with the choice of packing materials and modes of transport to get the final product to our clients, and back into the productive cycle. It also includes how we mediate these aspects our cellar door clients.
Adega Belém is a small boutique winery in Lisbon’s Belém district run by winemakers-owners Catarina Moreira and David Picard. Our passion is to craft organically balanced, vibrant and vivacious high quality wines in relatively small batches. At Adega Belém, we take a deeply collaborative approach to viticulture,winemaking and cellar door services. We closely work with vintners in and around the city of Lisbon, whose vines thrive in the ecologically rich mixed landscapes of the Atlantic coast.
