A little less than a year ago, we kicked-off our Climate Talks with this same topic. At the time we called it “The Elephant in the Room: sustainable packaging in wine” and we invited BA Glass, Garçon Wines and Crimson Wine Group. This time we called it “Climate in a bottle” because it is a given fact (as shown in the graph below), that the weight of the bottle is by far the element that contributes the most to the carbon footprint of wine. In fact, it remains an elephant in the room.
